Bird Bath Hand Woven Tapestry
$2,600.00
Reeva Sethi Home
The Bird Bath Handwoven Tapestry is a wall tapestry handwoven in the United Kingdom in pure New Zealand wool. It shows an old-world courtyard with a stone bird bath, a flowing fountain and garden blooms in soft, earthy tones. At 68 × 56 inches it hangs above a console, sofa or bed, or as the focal point of a hall or dining room. It is fully lined to carry its weight and protect the back, with a sewn-in rod sleeve for hanging. Because each tapestry is woven by hand, color and detail vary slightly from piece to piece. From Reeva Sethi Home in Saratoga, California. 173 × 142 cm (68″ × 56″) · 100%.

Tapestries · Handwoven Wool
The Bird Bath Handwoven Tapestry is a wool wall tapestry, 173 × 142 cm (68 × 56 inches), handwoven in the United Kingdom in pure New Zealand wool. It is offered by Reeva Sethi Home in Saratoga, California. The scene is a garden courtyard: a carved stone bird bath and a flowing fountain, surrounded by garden blooms and stonework. The palette is soft and earthy, with painterly shading that gives the picture depth from across the room. The tapestry is woven by hand on the loom, so the picture is built thread by thread in the wool itself rather than printed on it, with a texture you can see and feel up close. Because every piece is handwoven, color, shading and detail will vary slightly from the photographs and from one tapestry to the next. No two are exactly alike. A handwoven wool tapestry is heavy, and the full lining on the back does three jobs: A rod sleeve is sewn in across the top of the back for hanging. At this size it is a centerpiece for a wall: above a console or sofa, behind a bed in place of a headboard, at the end of a hallway, or along a dining room wall. Hang it from a rod wider than the tapestry; our tapestry hanging rods in the 175–225 cm size fit it. See more pieces in our Tapestries collection.
