Bound rattan furniture took its shape in the 1930s and 1940s, when makers gathered rattan poles into clusters and lashed them with peel at the joints. The Mandeville uses four poles for each leg, lashes the corners of the top in a crisscross wrap, and carries a three-rod apron on small arched brackets.
The top is a solid mahogany panel set inside a rattan rim, so it takes a lamp and a glass without marking. Natural rattan in a warm honey stain.
