The Julian Throw Pillow is a deep teal silk-blend embroidered throw pillow with chinoiserie-style embroidery in metallic thread, from Reeva Sethi Home, a furniture and interiors studio in Saratoga, California. The front is embroidered with a mythical motif in the chinoiserie manner, worked in metallic threads that catch the light as you move around the room. The embroidery is fine and low, so the pattern reads as texture from across the room and as detail up close. The face is a lustrous silk blend in deep teal. The back is the same silk blend, left unembroidered, with a clean knife edge and a concealed zipper. At 18″ square, this embroidered throw pillow holds its own alone on an armchair, and the solid teal ground lets it sit easily in a layered sofa arrangement beside plain linen, velvet or tapestry cushions.
